 Desert Christian is 10-0 against St. Augustine Catholic since March of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Desert Christian Eagles are on the road again  to play the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves at 3:45  p.m. Desert Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 17.4  runs per game this season.
 Last Wednesday, Desert Christian came up short against St. David  and fell  10-6. Desert Christian has not had much luck with St. David recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
  Cali Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Emmy Welch was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, St. Augustine Catholic put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Catalina with a sharp  18-2 win. While fans of St. Augustine Catholic might be used to big wins, the 16-run margin marked the team's biggest  victory yet this season.
 St. Augustine Catholic let  Arianna Aldana and  Esme Acuna loose on the outfield. Aldana  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of her seven plate appearances, while  Acuna  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of her seven plate appearances.
 Desert Christian's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-3-1. As for St. Augustine Catholic,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-6.
 Monday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Desert Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .475. However, it's not like St. Augustine Catholic struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Desert Christian took their  victory against St. Augustine Catholic  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  23-11.
