The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will challenge the Penn Cambria Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Bald Eagle Area's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Bishop Guilfoyle as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Not much got past Teagun Runkle, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Bishop Guilfoyle off the board.

At the plate, Bald Eagle Area got a massive performance out of Luke Hosband, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Hosband a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Takoda Ripka, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penn Cambria). They blew past Greater Johnstown 14-2 on Monday. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Ethan McCullen looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Caden Gibbons was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Penn Cambria is 2-1 when Gibbons posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Ayden Himmer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Penn Cambria always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bald Eagle Area's record now sits at 10-4. As for Penn Cambria, their record is now 6-8.
