Baseball Game Preview: Gamble Montessori Gators vs. Shroder Paideia Academy Jaguars

The Gamble Montessori Gators will take on the Shroder Paideia Academy Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Gamble Montessori is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Gamble Montessori came up short against Spencer Center on Friday, falling 14-4.

Taft hit Shroder Paideia Academy with a eight-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jaguars fell 12-8 to the Senators.

Calil Moody put in work no matter where he played. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.

In other batting news, Brian McGrady was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Shroder Paideia Academy: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Corey Moody was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Shroder Paideia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Gamble Montessori, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Gamble Montessori might still be hurting after the 35-12 loss they got from Shroder Paideia Academy in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
