Basketball Game Preview: Lone Pine Golden Eagles vs. Mojave Mustangs

The Lone Pine Golden Eagles will take on the Mojave Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Mojave will be up against a hot Lone Pine squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Lone Pine simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Immanuel Christian 84-22. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mojave took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 47-16 victory over Owens Valley. While fans of the Mustangs might be used to big wins, the 31-point margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Lone Pine has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points per game. As for Mojave, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.
