Preview: NorthPointe Christian Mustangs vs. Potter's House Christian Pumas
The NorthPointe Christian Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the Potter's House Christian Pumas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, NorthPointe Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-53 to Grand River Prep.
Potter's House Christian can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 47-43 W over Calvin Christian. That 47-43 margin sets a new team best for Potter's House Christian this season.
Aaron Leedy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Abram VerWys, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
NorthPointe Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Potter's House Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-4.
NorthPointe Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Potter's House Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 64-53.
