Basketball Recap: East Jessamine Takes a Loss

East Jessamine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Barbourville Tigers on the road by a 65-49 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 50-42 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

East Jessamine now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Barbourville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Jessamine will host Great Crossing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barbourville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Clay County at 7:30 p.m.
