Baseball Game Preview: Rushford-Peterson Trojans vs. Lyle/Pacelli Athletics

The Rushford-Peterson Trojans will head out to square off against the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Rushford-Peterson is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since May 3, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against La Crescent, falling 8-2. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Trojans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Lyle/Pacelli waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Wildcats. The Athletics' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

Rushford-Peterson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Rushford-Peterson couldn't quite finish off Lyle/Pacelli in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
