Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Hume

Hume had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Rich Hill Tigers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-4 victory back in April.

Hume let Paris Brooks and Jaylin Toms run wild. Brooks got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Toms went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most runs Brooks has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalley Steuck, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Hume's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rich Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Hume nor Rich Hill have any future games scheduled.
