Volleyball Recap: St. Pius X Find Success

St. Pius X won the last time they faced Pleasant Hill and things went their way on Saturday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Roosters/Chicks by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

St. Pius X found their leader in sophomore Drew Rupnow, who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Rupnow. Avery Smith also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

St. Pius X now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pleasant Hill, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, St. Pius X and Pleasant Hill will both be playing Raymore-Peculiar the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Roosters/Chicks will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
