Softball Recap: Garfield Boilermakers vs. Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions
Garfield kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 14-4 walloping at the hands of the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions. The loss means Garfield is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
For Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology's part, Analeigh Feliciano made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Feliciano was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology got a massive performance out of Troi Jackson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sarielys Rodriguez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Garfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Cresskill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology, they will head out on the road to take on Harrison at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
