Baseball Recap: Williams Takes a Loss

Williams suffered their closest defeat since March 19, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves by a score of 3-1. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Vince Coker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Williams saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Mora, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Williams and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Cedar Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
