Northeast won the last time they faced Slaughter Community Charter, and Braylon Guerin did his part to make sure it happened again. The Northeast Vikings walked away with a 61-52 win over the Slaughter Community Charter Knights on Tuesday thanks to Guerin, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8 rebounds per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Spears, who posted six points along with 11 boards and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

Northeast has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 8.55 assists in those games compared to only 8.55 in the others. As for Slaughter Community Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-14.

Looking ahead, Northeast will square off against Catholic of Pointe Coupee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Slaughter Community Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
