Volleyball Recap: Randolph Takes a Loss

Randolph lost against Deerfield on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rockets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21.

Lexie Zemlo paced Randolph's offense, picking up four kills. Zemlo got some help from Tessa Reed and her eight assists. Madelynn Medema controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Greenly Williams was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Deerfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Deerfield beat Randolph by a score of 2-0 later that day.
