Volleyball Game Preview: Mira Costa Mustangs vs. Marymount Sailors + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Mira Costa Mustangs and the Marymount Sailors will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Mira Costa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Newport Harbor. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Sailors: they've now won five in a row.

Mira Costa walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-22.

Brynn Barry and Reese Stringer were among the main playmakers for Mira Costa as the former had 19 digs and three assists and the latter had eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Barry has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Marymount made easy work of Chaminade last Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Marymount won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-21.

Mira Costa's victory bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Marymount, their win bumped their record up to 36-5.
