Baseball Recap: Quanah Takes a Loss

Quanah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wellington Skyrockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skyrockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in March.

Xander Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

Quanah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wellington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Quanah will venture away from home to face off against Lockney at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wellington, they will welcome Floydada at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
