Football Recap: Hall Falls Despite Big Games from Tommy Hussey and Jordan Scher + How To Watch

Hall lost against New Britain back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Hurricanes. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Hurricanes 14-7 in the first quarter.

Hall's loss came despite strong showings from Jordan Scher and Tommy Hussey. Scher picked up 147 receiving yards and two scores, while Hussey threw for 376 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 85 yards. Spencer Zazzaro got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Jayden Allen was a one-man wrecking crew For New Britain. as he rushed for 211 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Allen has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Seymour, who rushed for 83 yards.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Britain, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hall wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 38-26 win against Simsbury on the 27th. As for New Britain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-21 loss against Fairfield Prep on the 26th.
