Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Fenwick Falcons vs. Mount Notre Dame

The Bishop Fenwick Falcons will head out to square off against Mount Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

If Chaminade Julienne Catholic wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bishop Fenwick, they should've done a better job of containing Emerson Moser. The Falcons put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday for which the team can thank Moser, who had 11 digs and six aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bishop Fenwick was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Mount Notre Dame made easy work of Mercy McAuley on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-17.

Bishop Fenwick's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Mount Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Bishop Fenwick skirted past Mount Notre Dame 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
