Recap: Amory Panthers vs. New Albany Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Amory Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 67-50 bruising from New Albany. Amory has struggled against New Albany recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
New Albany found their leader in underclassman Braden Shettles, who scored 28 points. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. Issac Gilbert was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Amory's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for New Albany, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Amory will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Caledonia at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th. New Albany's road trip will continue as they head out to face Columbus at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
