Baseball Recap: Sherman Takes a Loss

Sherman came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Belfry Pirates by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Tide's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Sherman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Hamrick, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another was Luke Tagliente, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Belfry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Sherman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-3 loss against Scott on the 18th. As for Belfry, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-8 defeat against West Carter on the 18th.
