Volleyball Recap: Glen Burnie Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Glen Burnie was the 3-1 winner over Chesapeake when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Gophers came up short against the Cougars on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-15.

Chesapeake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corinne Brandts, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Brandts has posted since back in September. Emily Curtin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Glen Burnie dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chesapeake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Glen Burnie will host Wilde Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chesapeake, they will face off against Annapolis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
