Ryu Nunez leads a balanced attack to beat Bel Air

Recap: Del Valle Conquistadores vs. Bel Air Highlanders

There's no place like home for the Del Valle Conquistadores, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 50-46 win over Bel Air on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Del Valle, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Del Valle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryu Nunez out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Andres Mei was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Bel Air's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alec Carrillo, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Hernandez, who scored 12 points.

Del Valle's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Bel Air, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

Del Valle will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Horizon at 7:30 p.m. Horizon is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Bel Air, they will head out on the road to take on Hanks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hanks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
