Basketball Recap: Zavalla Comes Up Short

Zavalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 62-53 to Apple Springs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Apple Springs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-42 back in January.

Leading Apple Springs to victory were Zeth Dugat and Cooper Campbell. Dugat posted 25 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Campbell dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Dugat a new career-high in blocks (two). Kane Dugat was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Zavalla's defeat dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Apple Springs, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-18.

As of now, neither Zavalla nor Apple Springs have any future games scheduled.
