Basketball Recap: Hannah Simmon Key Part of a Team Effort in Saints Win

LKY won the last time they faced Doss and things went their way on Tuesday too. The LKY Saints came out on top against the Doss Dragons by a score of 59-47.

LKY's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Simmon, who posted 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Simmon has scored at least a third of LKY's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtney Simmon, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to six steals and five boards.

LKY's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Doss, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

LKY will take on Brown in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Doss, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-42 defeat against Kentucky Country Day on the 12th.
