Baseball Recap: Eastern Hills Comes Up Short

Eastern Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Tuesday.

Eastern Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southwest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern Hills and Western Hills will meet in a classic East v. West matchup at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Hills has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.71 runs per game on average), something Eastern Hills will no doubt try to take advantage of. Southwest will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carter-Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
