Kayla Watkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia Kurtz, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Kara Brown was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Norwell hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 5-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory snapped Norwell's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
