Recap: Delavan Panthers vs. East Peoria Raiders
The Delavan Panthers pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of East Peoria by a score of 66-63. Delavan has not had much luck with East Peoria recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Delavan's loss came despite strong showings from Cooper Hansen and Micah Brockhouse. Hansen scored 20 points along with five assists, while Brockhouse scored 24 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Cole Noreuil was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for East Peoria, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Delavan and Canton will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. East Peoria won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Warrensburg-Latham at 3:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Warrensburg-Latham is ranked 224th, while East Peoria is ranked 244th).
