Flag Football Game Preview: Santa Ynez Pirates vs. Righetti Warriors

The Santa Ynez Pirates will take on the Righetti Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Santa Ynez's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over Santa Maria. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Santa Ynez didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ella Gotschall, Skyla Oslin, and Campbell McClurg picked up one apiece. Gotschall got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four matchup, Righetti brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Cabrillo 39-6. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Righetti's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Santa Ynez, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
