Basketball Game Preview: Solon Comets vs. Wadsworth Grizzlies

The Solon Comets will square off against the Wadsworth Grizzlies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Solon is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Brecksville-Broadview Heights on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Solon lost 78-56 to Brecksville-Broadview Heights. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while the Bees are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Wadsworth came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 50-44 win over the Dragons.

Wadsworth has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Solon, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
