Baseball Recap: Brodhead/Juda's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jefferson, Brodhead/Juda was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Clinton Cougars. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Brodhead/Juda got a big performance out of Gabe Bockhop, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs Bockhop has posted over his last ten matches. Chase Bauman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Brodhead/Juda's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Clinton, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Brodhead/Juda and Clinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Cardinals (ranked 195th) will meet Turner (ranked ninth) at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clinton will face off against Edgerton at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (317 vs. 154).
