Basketball Game Preview: Brainerd Panthers vs. Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers

The Brainerd Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Brainerd had to suffer through a 68-4 loss at the hands of Soddy Daisy.

Meanwhile, Howard Tech came up short against Walker Valley on Friday and fell 59-46. The Hustlin' Tigers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Brainerd's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Howard Tech, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Things could have been worse for Brainerd, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-34 loss to Howard Tech when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
