Basketball Recap: Rock Canyon's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Rock Canyon managed to keep up with Corner Canyon until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Jaguars lost 70-48 to the Chargers. The loss put an end to the Jaguars' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Rock Canyon still got an impressive performance from Jacob David, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 16 points. The contest was David's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Christensen, who posted six points.

Corner Canyon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ty Kozlowski, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Kozlowski is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Josh Tolman was another key player, shooting 58% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rock Canyon fell to 2-1. As for Corner Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Rock Canyon has already played their next matchup, a 55-42 loss against American Fork on the 6th. As for Corner Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-29 victory against Foothill on the 6th.
