Volleyball Recap: Ashley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ashley lost against Topsail back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Screaming Eagle took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Screaming Eagle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Topsail scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22.

Jessie Hill paced Ashley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hill got some help from Sarah Brannin and her 29 assists. Finally, Marley Burk kept Ashley's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Ashley now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Topsail, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Ashley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Laney on the 28th. As for Topsail, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Brunswick on the 28th.
