Five must be Augusta's lucky number: they beat Rose Hill with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Orioles had just enough and edged out the Rockets 5-4. The Orioles haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Augusta let Dalton Apel and Mason Skov run wild. Apel went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Skov got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Apel has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Wheeler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Augusta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Augusta's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Rose Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Augusta will venture away from home to challenge Wellington on Thursday. As for Rose Hill, they will head out to take on Collegiate at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
