Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Takes a Loss

Notre Dame Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pulaski Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

Notre Dame Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Frelich, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Pulaski, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame Academy will host Green Bay Preble at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tritons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pulaski, they will head out to face off against Green Bay Southwest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders are facing the Fighting Trojans at the right time seeing as the Fighting Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
