Baseball Recap: Grand Valley Comes Up Short

Grand Valley fell victim to Meeker and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cowboys earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Will Gardner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

Grand Valley is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15. As for Meeker, they moved to 6-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Grand Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meeker, they will head out on the road to square off against Olathe at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
