Baseball Recap: French Settlement Wins Going Away Against Fontainebleau

French Settlement barely beat Fontainebleau the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions blew past the Bulldogs 10-4 on Saturday. The Lions not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

The team relied heavily on Devry Buckman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

French Settlement was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

The victory got French Settlement back to even at 16-16. As for Fontainebleau, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. French Settlement will host Woodlawn-B.R. at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Fontainebleau, they will face off against Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
