Soccer Game Preview: McNairy Central vs. Lexington

McNairy Central hasn't had much luck against Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bobcats will welcome the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. McNairy Central's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

McNairy Central's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Jackson Central Merry 1-0.

Meanwhile, Lexington had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 7-0 victory. Considering Lexington have won five games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lexington pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four contests. As for McNairy Central, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
