Baseball Recap: John Jay Patriots vs. Walter Panas Panthers
John Jay had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Walter Panas Panthers on Saturday. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.
John Jay got a great performance from Spencer Natoli as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Alex Jendras was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Driscoll, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Walter Panas' loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Jay will face off against Somers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Walter Panas, they will take on Yorktown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
