Recap: Pace Patriots vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins
The Pace Patriots suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a rough 51-25 loss at the hands of Gulf Breeze. Pace has not had much luck with Gulf Breeze recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Pace lost, one person who can't be blamed is Javon Purvis. Despite the final result, he scored nine points.
Hutson Rowe was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with three steals for Gulf Breeze. Rowe continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Trent Peak was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and four steals.
Pace has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Gulf Breeze, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Pace won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Milton at 6:15 p.m. on January 12th. Milton is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Gulf Breeze, they will square off against Fleming Island at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fleming Island is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.1 points per game.
