Volleyball Recap: St. John's/Tipton Catholic Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

There's no place like home for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Blujays: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

St. John's/Tipton Catholic never let Sylvan-Lucas on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 27-25.

Kendra Gengler paced St. John's/Tipton Catholic's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gengler got some help from Breckyn Carr and her 24 assists. Gengler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. John's/Tipton Catholic's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. As for Sylvan-Lucas, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.
