Basketball Game Preview: Academy of Notre Dame Lancers vs. Minuteman Regional Minuteman

Academy of Notre Dame hasn't had much luck against Minuteman Regional recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Academy of Notre Dame Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Minuteman Regional Minuteman at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Academy of Notre Dame's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

Last Friday, Academy of Notre Dame got the win against Northeast Metro RVT by a conclusive 75-55. The matchup marked the Lancers' most dominant win of the season.

Academy of Notre Dame's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Rigo Challinger, who posted 31 points, and Isiah Ferguson, who put up 30 points. Ferguson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Minuteman Regional suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They came up short against Maynard, falling 58-37. The game marked the Minuteman's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Minuteman Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Academy of Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Academy of Notre Dame couldn't quite finish off Minuteman Regional in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 97-95. Can Academy of Notre Dame avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
