Soccer Recap: Bible Baptist Christian Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Bible Baptist Christian was not quite Valley Forge Baptist Academy's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bible Baptist Christian came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Georgia, while Valley Forge Baptist Academy are ranked 428th in Pennsylvania).

This is the second loss in a row for Bible Baptist Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Valley Forge Baptist Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Bible Baptist Christian will square off against Covenant Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Forge Baptist Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Lighthouse Baptist Academy on the 2nd.
