Basketball Recap: Homer Takes a Loss

Homer lost against Seward last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Homer Mariners fell just short of the Seward Seahawks by a score of 63-60.

Homer has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only three points. As for Seward, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Homer will host Kenai Central at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for Seward, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Redington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
