Aledo extended their postseason success on Thursday against Amarillo. They skirted past the Sandies 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won four contests in a row.

Grayson McKelvey tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aledo's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brennon Evans, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Aledo's victory bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Amarillo, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-12-1.

Aledo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Sandies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
