Volleyball Recap: Luke Nguyen and Tragdon Jenkins Secure Win for Williams Field

Williams Field entered their tilt with Liberty on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Lions 3-0.

Williams Field never let Liberty on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-23.

Williams Field was led to victory by Tragdon Jenkins and Luke Nguyen. Jenkins had ten digs and two assists, while Nguyen had 12 assists and three digs. That's the most assists Nguyen has posted over his last five matchups. Nicholas Hostetler also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Williams Field pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams Field will venture away from home to challenge Queen Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty, they will head out to face off against Corona del Sol at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
