Volleyball Recap: Raton Snags 14th Win in Last 15 Games

Raton extended their postseason success on Friday against Laguna Acoma. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 3-0 win. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Raton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aveah Marquez, who had 20 digs and two assists. Marquez has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 17 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Leticia Marquez, who had 14 digs.

Raton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Laguna Acoma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

Raton has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against McCurdy on the 14th. Laguna Acoma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
