Softball Recap: Mooresville Comes Up Short

If Mooresville was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of West Cabarrus last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils fell 8-3 to the South Iredell Vikings on Tuesday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Mooresville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for South Iredell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Mooresville has already played their next contest, a 10-3 win against North Iredell on the 2nd. As for South Iredell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against East Lincoln on the 2nd.
