Volleyball Game Preview: Alleghany Cougars vs. Waynesboro Little Giants

The Alleghany Cougars will face off against the Waynesboro Little Giants at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Alleghany is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Defiance just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since September 2nd.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was MADDY LOWRY, who had eight digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Waynesboro lost 3-0 to Fort Defiance on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Little Giants haven't been shut out since back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-8.

Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Alleghany, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.

Alleghany beat Waynesboro 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Little Giants turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
