Softball Recap: Bishop McCort Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bishop McCort's offense. They came up short against the Tyrone Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Crushers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bishop McCort now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Tyrone, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Bishop McCort and Tyrone could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Crushers will challenge Westmont Hilltop at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (327 vs. 78). Meanwhile, Tyrone (ranked 195th) will meet Punxsutawney (ranked 49th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
