Basketball Recap: Mount Tahoma Takes a Loss

Mount Tahoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Silas Rams, falling 69-3. The matchup marked the T-Birds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Annique Smith was her usual excellent self, going 9 for 18 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals for Silas. The contest was Smith's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sisalee Miller, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points.

Mount Tahoma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Silas, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Mount Tahoma will venture away from home to take on Chief Kitsap Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Silas, they will welcome Gig Harbor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
